Not much you can say about a tool box. Excellent quality & price. I purchased this to replace one that I had for about 15 years and this one looks as though it is by far better quality than the previous one and should serve the purpase for many years. Great service from all concerned.

I bought this tool box to hold a number of small welding tools such as extra contact tips, sparker, goggles, wire cutters, etc. I'm quite happy with the overall construction of it - decently thick sheet metal, no sharp corners, overall fit and finish was excellent. The tray it came with is handy to maximize room and helps keep small tools from getting tossed around too much. Mine also came with a sticker saying made in the USA which is always a plus :). At 19.99 for the 16" model this is a great deal on a old school tool box.

I have a larger toolbox by this company and it has a opened steel tray. This one is plastic and it is sloted. The should have stuck with the origanal tray because, it would hold a lot more.Stack-On R-516-2 16-Inch Multi-Purpose Steel Tool Box, RedI have had the old toolbox that is a little bigger over three years now and I like it very much.

I'm not sure what professionals or incredibly macho men (or macho women I guess) look for in a tool box, but my interest was in finding something sturdy that also looked kind of nice. A trip to Home Depot left something to be desired -- I could buy a massive multi-drawered thing for my handful of tools, or some ugly plastic boxes or black fabric bags. None of this would do, so I took the problem to Amazon.This toolbox is made completely out of metal, looks pretty good for a tool box, and does in fact hold my pathetic collection of tools. The plastic, removable tray inside is slightly disappointing and overall it's a bit thinner/lighter than I would have wished, but even with my minor complaints it seems much better than similarly-priced alternatives both for looks and build quality. I docked it a star for the plastic insert, though I'd remove half a star if I could.If you're like me and you're the kind of person who's shopping for toolboxes online, and you found this one because the product shot looks enticing, you should probably go for it. If you're in the market for the ultimate indestructible metal toolbox, you may find this to be lacking.

Was surprised when I recvd it! Was expecting something somewhat cheaper and flimsy in construction for the price, but was impressed with the overall product when I handled and filled it with tools. This is just one of my "5" toolboxes, and wanted this smaller box to take around for quick jobs where my other tool boxes were bigger and 'heavier.' I didnt want a 'plastic' tool box since they deterioate with age and use, as well as flex and can spill tools.I like the red color which allows my tools to stand out in dark areas. The 4-rivet tubular handle carries easy, and the portable 'plastic' tray fits nicely in both the closed box as well as the top of the box when opened for access to the tools in the bottom. Altho the tray is plastic, it is heavy duty and doesnt feel 'cheap.'The box was bigger than I had envisioned it and deeper and can handle a large grouping of tools & misc parts/hardware, etc. More than worth the $..!

I ordered this for a Christmas gift, and the first one I received was smashed on the top and could not open. I had to get Amazon to send me a replacement. The tool box is OK, I could see it more as a kids toolbox then one that a grown adult would actually take to a work site or something. It does dent very easily.

I have the smaller version of this box and it is excellent. Got this one for the same reasons stated above, needed a box for some larger tools. Solid, well made box that works and feels like it will last a long time.

I enjoy buying items made of natural products. Went to Home Depot and nothing there but plastic and more plastic! Most reviewers seemed happy with this tool box. I too like it very much. It's a good size for garage, car, house to house small repair. The lid on mine has a bit of a gap when latched. It has a plastic tray inside. It's lightweight. Love the red color! Perfect for a girl like me.

As odd as this may sound, I really, really love this tool box. Recently, I've amassed a collection of tools for various project work, but I didn't have a place to store them in. When I saw this steel red tool box on Amazon, it seemed to fit the bill.It came to me in perfect condition with no scratches or dings in the epoxy finish. The steel is sturdy, and all of my tools are safely housed inside.The Stack-On sticker on my box came with a big fold/crease in the middle (air pocket), so I just pulled it off. It left behind some sticky residue.I like the plastic tray inside; it's made of plastic, so it isn't as strong as the steel, but I like having a divider and separating the smaller tools from the rest. The plastic is of good quality, though, and isn't flimsy or prone to easily flexing.My only complaint is that the box doesn't close as tightly or easily as I would like at the hinge; I have to readjust it a couple of times to ensure that it is 100% secure. Thus, the minus one star.Other than that, I'm really happy with my purchase!EDIT: I noticed that other sellers are selling this item with fulfillment by Amazon for twice the cost of what I've paid. I paid $19.99 for mine, which included prime shipping..
